11-09-23: News Flash: One of our homebred boys, Rayneriver's Sea Eagle ("Jonah"), stepped into the ring for the first time at 2 years of age and took Winners Male, Best of Winners and a Best Of Opposite Sex for 2 points at the Saskatchewan Obedience & Kennel Club show on September 3-5. Then 2 weeks later and his second time out, Jonah is awarded Winners Male for two 2-point wins at the Lloydminster Kennel & Obedience Club show today under judges G. Tim Doxtater (Surrey, BC) & Donald J. Emslie (also of Surrey, BC), respectively! Thank you! He now has * 6 POINTS TOWARDS HIS CANADIAN CHAMPIONSHIP! * We praise the Lord for this blessing, and are very grateful to Jonah's temporary foster owners Lynne & Beckie Cutting of Ekho Labradors in Saskachewan for all of their time and dedication with respect to Jonah's training.

10-03-23: It is with great sadness that we had to say "good-bye" to our beloved canine companion Sharona's Sweet Dream O'Rayne ~ "Rayne" ~ on March 18, 2010 at the age of 12 years, 8 1/2 months. Rayne (aka "Girlie") was a wonderful Labrador & cherished family member who blessed us with countless hours of happiness, unconditional love & companionship. A true Lab in every sense of the word, she will be greatly missed, but fondly remembered for her delightful temperament, intelligence, willingness to please, keen retrieving ability, gentleness & loving nature. Rayneriver welcomes our new addition, Rickways Cajun Cowboy ~ "Rider"! He came to us from Rickway Kennels, Manitoba in August 2009. We are thankful to Rider's breeder, Joyce Love, for sharing this handsome chocolate boy with us!

In August 2009, Rayneriver welcomed a new chocolate girl: BonaVenture's Film Maker at Rayneriver ~ "Maisy"! We are honoured and grateful to Tom and Gail Shearer of BonaVenture Kennels in Bagdad, Kentucky for entrusting us with this special girl. Maisy is one of the last daughters sired by the wonderful chocolate dog, Epoch's Edward of BonaVenture. Her grandsire is the famous stud dog (English import), American Champion Rocheby Rainmaker!
